Pastor Deryck Frye left the business world after a short time to begin full time ministry in 1994 when he held the positions of Associate Pastor, worship leader, and Headmaster of MetroWest Christian Academy. He has been preaching the gospel since he was 17 years old. Since then, Deryck's double-dose of God's anointing on his life has led him to teach that in order to make a difference, we must be different in every way. He passionately ministers to others, whether in worship or word, out of his own devotion to the Lord in fresh, insightful ways with authority and wisdom.
Married to Stacy in 1991, they have four remarkable children, who have all followed their parents’ passions for serving the local church, both full time and volunteering. Pastor Deryck and Stacy count it a privilege to invest in their grandchildren as well.
Although ministry life can be time consuming and challenging, Pastor and Stacy have been able to maintain a vibrant marriage and close-knit family. They believe they are called to encourage and build strong relationships, strong marriages, and strong families.
Mr. Tighe is a former high school teacher and is now the Operations Director for MetroWest Ministries. He is also a former police officer and a retired Naval Officer. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Mandarin from Wayland Baptist University and received a Master’s Degree in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego. He has a passion for Christ-centered education and loves being around the classroom. He believes that Christian education is extremely important because the staff can care for the child’s spiritual health while providing a premier education.
Mrs. Frye has been in administration since 2008. She has taught kindergarten through 8th grade at MCA since 1994. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Mrs. Frye moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1992 to attend Oral Roberts University, from which she graduated with a degree in Education. She believes that teaching is a profession that exceeds many others in the rewards received. She firmly believes that teachers have the opportunity to touch and change children’s lives forever.
We at MCA believe we are called not just to teach reading, writing, and arithmetic, but to teach and develop student character. We believe in raising champions for Christ.
