1) What is MetroWest Christian Academy?

MCA is a non-denominational Christian academy affiliated with Connect Church. The primary objective and purpose of MCA is to train the student in Christian values and to give the student an excellent education. The teachers realize their solemn responsibility before God in molding the life and character of each student in order to provide a good foundation for each child’s future. MetroWest Christian Academy operates as a non-profit organization.

2) Why did you choose your curriculum?

We believe that the A Beka curriculum with its strong phonics base is the best elementary Christian curriculum available. It is currently being used by more than 200,000 schools worldwide. The material offers a clear Christian emphasis while being academically excellent. Students who are taught using the A Beka curriculum consistently score higher on national achievement tests.

3) How many children will be in each classroom?

The size of each class will vary based on demand. In cases where demand is high and the class is large a teacher-aide will be added where necessary. Since our teachers are organized and the material is structured, the children thrive academically .

4) What about the teachers?

In all cases teachers are fervent Christians who have been trained in traditional educational techniques. All of our teachers are degreed and look at teaching as a pleasure since they love the children they teach.

5) How can I pay for MCA?

MetroWest Christian Academy is an affordable school. Payments are made monthly due on the fifteenth of each month from June through May.

6) What about school hours and dates?

School begins promptly at 8:30 AM and dismisses at 3:00 PM. Half-day dismissals are at 12:00 and K4 dismissals are at 12:15 PM. A school calendar will be given to all registered students.

7) Is extended day available?

Extended care is available through Dream Station for academy students. Call (508) 881-7670 to register.

8) How do I apply?

Upon completion of the application form, a $70 non-refundable fee is due. A family interview will be scheduled within two weeks of receipt of the application. Students applying for grades 2-5 will be required to take a placement exam. Students applying for grades K5 & 1st are required to have a screening evaluation after the date of the family interview. You will then be notified of your child’s acceptance, pending placement exam or screening results, within 48 hours of the interview. A $200 non-refundable registration deposit per student is due following acceptance and is applied to your first tuition payment.

9) How do I arrange for uniforms?

Both school and gym uniforms are available at a variety of department stores and online. Complete uniform information will be given to all registered students.

10) Are discounts available?

Yes, tuition for the 2nd and 3rd child attending MCA is discounted.
